Ms Rebecca Prince – McKenzie Friend
Rebecca is a legally trained advisor with a robust background in law and business, combining over a decade of public legal service with academic excellence. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Manchester Metropolitan University (2004) and a Master of Laws (CPE) with Commendation from the University of Wolverhampton (2021). She has also completed the SQE1 Preparation Course with the Law Training Centre.
Since 2019, Rebecca has worked for Citizens Advice, offering legal advice across a broad spectrum of issues, including family, employment, immigration, welfare benefits, housing, and small claims. Her compassionate approach and strong legal knowledge have enabled her to support some of the most vulnerable individuals navigating the legal system.
Rebecca has extensive experience assisting litigants in person, particularly in complex Family Law matters, including Child Protection cases involving social services. She has undergone domestic violence training and has effectively supported both applicants and respondents in non-molestation order cases. Her expertise also extends to child maintenance, where she has a strong record in CMS appeals and First-tier Tribunal representation.
In Employment Law, Rebecca regularly advises on case merits, identifying potential claims including unfair dismissal and discrimination under the Equality Act 2010. She has a particular strength in drafting compelling particulars of claim and has successfully represented clients in the Employment Tribunal to secure favourable settlements.
With additional training in Dispute Resolution, she is well-versed in pre-action protocols and regularly supports clients in making civil claims, including drafting legal documents and advising on Civil Procedure Rules.
Rebecca is known for her ability to combine legal expertise with empathy and clarity, making her a trusted McKenzie Friend for clients facing challenging legal situations.
